Bluejay is a private community connecting families with local babysitters in San Anselmo and Fairfax, Marin County. Its membership gives families access to nearby sitter profiles, helping them compare rates, experience, ratings, reviews, and qualifications before arranging childcare. The community includes 21 local babysitters, with eight CPR-certified and 19 reporting at least three years of experience. Typical rates are $16–$20 per hour, though individual sitters set their own rates.

Families can post a childcare request for available sitters to respond to, or contact a sitter directly. The service supports requests, messaging, and booking arrangements, with unlimited requests and messages included in membership. Families pay babysitters directly; Bluejay charges no booking fees and takes no percentage of sitter payments. Membership costs $59 per year, billed annually, or $10 month-to-month, and can be shared with another adult in the household. Bluejay reviews family membership requests personally and also invites local babysitters to apply. The company is based in Marin County, California.
