Alexandra Lanphear

Blue Moon Doula is a King County birth doula service led by Alex, offering evidence-based, judgment-free support designed around each family’s needs. Trained by DONA-certified trainer Sharon Muza, Alex is a member of NAPS Doulas and is working toward DONA birth doula certification. The practice aims to make compassionate care accessible, using sliding-scale pricing and welcoming pregnant teens, first-time parents, and low-income families.

Services support families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Labor and birth packages include prenatal visits, help creating a personalized birth plan, ongoing phone and text access, resources and referrals, continuous labor support, and postpartum visits. Support is available for a range of birth plans, including planned C-sections and home births. A dedicated teen support package provides confidential, judgment-free guidance for teens and their parents. For families approaching their due date, same-month support may be available, subject to scheduling. Blue Moon Doula also offers free 30-minute virtual consultations and can arrange additional visits or flexible meeting times upon request.
