Blue Roof Designs is a brand founded by the talented bookbinder, Elissa Campbell. With a passion for the art of bookbinding, Elissa has been creating handmade books since her early years. After rediscovering her love for the craft during her time in graduate school, Elissa fully embraced bookbinding and established Blue Roof Designs in 2000.

Located in the picturesque Montpelier, Vermont, Elissa's studio is adorned with a rich collection of handmade papers sourced from around the world, as well as luxurious satin, brocade cloths, leather, and silky ribbons. Each book she creates is a testament to her commitment to preserving the beauty and integrity of the materials she works with. Specializing in blank books, Elissa believes that her creations are meant to be personalized by their owners.

By infusing their unique life experiences, these books become truly one-of-a-kind pieces of accessible art. All materials used are acid-free to ensure the longevity of cherished photographs. As a proud member of esteemed organizations such as the Book Arts Guild of Vermont and the New England Guild of Book Workers, Elissa constantly strives to perfect her craft and share her passion through teaching workshops and participating in events.
