Blue Zones Project Scottsdale is a community well-being initiative working to make healthy choices easier for people throughout Scottsdale. Guided by lessons from the world’s original Blue Zones—places where people have been found to live measurably longer and better—the project brings together residents and local organizations to improve well-being across everyday settings.
Its approach focuses on people, places, and policy, with strategies spanning 13 areas as the community works toward becoming a Blue Zones Community. The project supports participating and approved schools, restaurants, grocery stores, worksites, faith-based communities, and other organizations. It also offers free tools and resources, public events and programs, volunteer opportunities, and ways for individuals to take a pledge and get involved.
Community activities include opportunities for movement, social connection, and volunteering. Through these programs and partnerships, Blue Zones Project Scottsdale aims to help residents and organizations create healthier environments in the places where people live, work, learn, and play, supporting a happier, healthier community for current and future generations.
