Blüm Academy is an award-winning, fully licensed early learning school in Calgary, Alberta, offering infant, junior preschool, preschool, and kindergarten programs across its Tuxedo Park, West Hillhurst, and Parkdale campuses. Its proprietary curriculum combines Montessori’s emphasis on structure and independence with the inquiry-driven, expressive principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach, alongside Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.

Blüm creates calm, thoughtfully prepared classrooms with natural materials and hands-on learning resources. Screen-free environments encourage children to explore, make, create, and develop focus, curiosity, problem-solving, and independence. Daily routines balance freedom with structure and support emotional regulation, relationships, and a sense of belonging. The kindergarten program builds literacy, numeracy, executive functioning, and social-emotional skills to support the transition to primary school.

The academy’s certified educators receive ongoing, philosophy-aligned professional development. Blüm also provides seasonal meals, including warm breakfasts, lunches, and refreshments, and maintains classrooms in accordance with health and safety requirements. Through its programs and carefully considered learning environments, Blüm aims to make early education purposeful, nurturing, and responsive to each child.
