Blumenbüro Österreich represents the country’s green industry, bringing together people and businesses who work with flowers, plants and gardens. Its vision is an Austria where greenery does more than beautify: gardens, flowers and plants connect people and contribute to a sustainable future. The organisation highlights the skills, professions and opportunities that make this sector thrive, including floristry, garden design, cemetery gardening, flower wholesale and horticulture.

Florists create bouquets, wedding arrangements, floral spaces and sympathy tributes, combining design, craftsmanship and plant knowledge. Garden designers shape private gardens and public green spaces, including climate-resilient urban environments. Cemetery gardeners design and maintain graves and offer thoughtful advice to families. Austrian flower wholesalers supply florists and other commercial customers with fresh cut flowers, potted plants and floristry materials. Nurseries grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, ornamental plants and young plants, often with regional production and short delivery routes.

Blumenbüro Österreich also promotes education, professional development and industry events, helping showcase the creativity, expertise and sustainability of the green sector.
