About Bnei Akiva NZ
Bnei Akiva New Zealand is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a positive and enriching experience for Jewish youth. Operating on a volunteer basis, we offer weekly recreational and educational activities, as well as bi-annual camps during school vacations. Our mission is to strengthen cultural heritage and promote ethics, tolerance, and meaningful values among our members.
We foster a sense of community and belonging, inspiring our youth to contribute and participate in both the Jewish and wider New Zealand communities. Our goal is to educate Jewish youth with the values of Torah ve’Avodah, combining a strong connection to Israel with day-to-day life rooted in traditional Jewish values. We provide stimulating experiential opportunities for encountering Judaism and ensure the continuity and future of the New Zealand Jewish community.
In addition to our regular meetings and camps, we organize community events, such as fairs, fundraisers, and dinners. By equipping our youth with knowledge of their history and pride in their traditions, we empower them to have confidence in themselves and a strong social identity. From this foundation, they can go on to make a positive difference in the world.
