The Blount-Newsome-Sutton (BNS) Family is a family community dedicated to connection, shared history, and celebrating the legacy begun by four Blount sisters in 1977. Each year, relatives and friends gather for the BNS Family Reunion over Labor Day weekend, with additional events and gatherings held throughout the year. The reunion offers an opportunity to reconnect, honor the family’s heritage, and create new memories; the 2024 gathering in Salisbury, Maryland, marked 47 years of family celebrations.
The BNS website helps family members stay informed and involved. Visitors can explore family history, view reunion photos, read news about celebrations, accomplishments, milestones, and announcements, and find information about reunion registration and the BNS Scholarship. The site also invites people to submit photographs, volunteer, and participate in memorials and other family activities. A BNS Family email list shares updates about the annual reunion and special events, while the family’s Facebook page provides access to memories from past gatherings. Together, these resources support an ongoing circle of family connection across generations.
