Botanischer Garten Berlin is a major botanical garden, museum and research centre dedicated to plants and biodiversity. Its 43-hectare grounds bring together nearly 20,000 plant species, offering visitors the chance to explore plant life from around the world in a distinctive garden setting. The garden welcomes guests with public access, ticketed entry and a range of guided tours and workshops, including activities focused on nature journaling, herb gardening and medicinal plants.

The associated Botanical Museum is devoted to the plant world and its cultural and natural history. It is currently closed while being redesigned and renovated, with a new visitor experience planned. Alongside its public attractions, the institution serves as an international hub for botanical knowledge and biodiversity research. Its scientists study the diversity of plants, fungi and algae using modern methods and share their findings worldwide. The garden also provides free botanical advice for Berlin residents and free mushroom consultations, helping the community learn more about species and biodiversity.
