Boating Ontario

Boating Ontario Association (BOA) is a provincial organization that supports the growth and sustainability of recreational boating in Ontario while promoting ethical practices and environmental protection. Its members include marinas, boat dealers and brokers, boat and engine service centres, and suppliers serving the marine industry across the province. The association provides membership resources, benefits, and a Code of Ethics for current and prospective members.

For people interested in boating, BOA offers guidance on getting a boating licence, owning or renting a boat, safety, responsible boating, and activities and destinations. It also promotes practical steps to protect waterways, including cleaning, draining, and drying watercraft and equipment to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. Through its Clean Marine program, the association shares information about environmentally responsible facilities and boating practices.

BOA connects the public and industry with boating events, boat shows, on-water experiences, and community activities. Its employment and education resources include marine industry job postings, personnel training, and the MarineWorx Development Fund and scholarships.
