Bobtown Beer Bash is a volunteer-run, non-profit real ale festival held at Roberttown Community Centre in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. Founded in 2010 by a group of friends, the annual village event usually takes place on the last Saturday in July. It brings together real ale and cider, live music from local bands on an outdoor stage, and food from local vendors.
Buckles Butchers serves barbecue, while Pure & Natural Cuisines offers freshly made curries; an ice cream van may also join the lineup. The festival welcomes visitors to enjoy a lively community gathering, with cash and card accepted at the entrance, token desks and food outlets. A committee and around 60 to 70 volunteers organize and run the event, with training provided for real ale bar workers.
Proceeds are donated to local groups and charities, including community organizations and regional causes. People can get involved by volunteering or sponsoring the event, and the website shares information about beers, entertainment, sponsors, past events and ways to help
