Brendan White Bodhrans is a specialist maker and retailer of traditional Irish bodhrán drums, offering handmade instruments to customers worldwide. Founded by Brendan White, whose experience as a bodhrán player spans more than 40 years, the business grew from making non-tunable drums to developing instruments with an internal tuning system. Its bodhráns feature strong, reliable rims, and most Irish models include a hollow rim, or sound chamber, designed to shape the instrument’s sound.

Some models also offer multiple heads. The range includes traditional and tuneable drums in several sizes, including 40 cm, 42 cm and 45 cm options. Customers can also buy accessories such as tuning keys and nylon cases.

The maker uses Finnish birch, described as a fast-growing renewable wood, along with water-based colour and varnish. The website provides product information, testimonials, media, care guidance and resources for the bodhrán community, including links for musicians and teachers. Brendan White’s instruments have also appeared in films and are played by musicians around the world
