Bodrog Egyesület

Bodrog Egyesület is a community organization based in Bodrogolaszi, Hungary, working on environmental protection, education and local engagement in the Bodrog region. Its projects focus on conserving biodiversity in homes and gardens across settlements along the Bodrog, promoting energy awareness, and encouraging appreciation of the river as a living natural environment. The association also carries out environmental education and biomonitoring along the Bodrog River.

Its activities combine information campaigns with opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the region. These include birdwatching trips by boat, cycling tours in Bodrogköz, medicinal herb gathering and water excursions on the Bodrog. The organization has also run initiatives on waste sorting and responsible waste management, ragweed control, and social inclusion through local communities. Past projects include an online campaign focused on the Tisza and Bodrog rivers and a travelling exhibition about people deported to the Soviet Union. Through these efforts, Bodrog Egyesület supports environmental awareness and community participation in the region.
