About Bodywhys
Bodywhys is a national voluntary organization founded in 1995 that provides support and assistance to individuals impacted by eating disorders in Ireland. They are a company limited by guarantee (CLG) with a dedicated Board of Directors composed of individuals with expertise in relevant areas. Their mission is to promote awareness, understanding, and support for eating disorders within the wider community, while advocating for the rights and healthcare needs of those affected.
Bodywhys envisions a future where individuals affected by eating disorders have their needs met by a range of statutory, private, and voluntary agencies offering integrated and high-quality services. Their ethos is centered on the belief that individuals with eating disorders can and do recover, and they strive to combat discrimination and stigma associated with these disorders. They are committed to providing confidential, respectful, and inclusive care and aim to collaborate with various agencies and stakeholders
