The British On-Farm Innovation Network (BOFIN) brings together farmers, scientists, researchers and citizen scientists who share an interest in agricultural innovation. Guided by the principles “Co-create, Share, Progress,” the network helps connect people and ideas, with a dedicated team facilitating its work and member engagement.
BOFIN leads three Innovate UK-funded projects investigating gene-edited cereals, sustainable slug control and soil health, and partners in a fourth project focused on pulse production. Its work also includes farmer-led innovation through ADOPT projects and opportunities for farmers to take part in research and on-farm trials. The organisation offers expertise in project management, farmer engagement and communications, and supports commercial projects in these areas.
To help members and the wider farming community stay informed, BOFIN shares news, resources and project updates, and runs events and webinars. It also provides information about current and past projects, ways to get involved, and opportunities to work with the network.
