Boldini Art and Restoration

Boldini Art and Restoration is a brand focused on antique art, painting care, and distinctive furnishings made from reclaimed wood. Its offerings include oil paintings, frames, custom reclaimed-wood furniture, and French imports, with a showroom featured on its website. The business also provides specialized restoration for paintings and frames, including canvas lining and patching, varnish removal, paint consolidation, cleaning, and gold gilding.

Its restoration work addresses issues such as dirt, grime, smoke, discolored varnish, flaking paint, and small cuts or holes in canvas. Before aged varnish is removed, an appropriate solvent is selected through testing, and loose paint is treated to help it adhere securely. Where paint is missing, in-painting is limited to the necessary areas and carried out to closely follow the artist’s pigments, style, and intent.

Boldini Art and Restoration states that it uses quality materials and reversible procedures, helping protect the original artwork and allowing future restorers to identify and remove restoration materials without damaging the original
