About BollywoodArtProject
Bollywood Art Project (BAP) is an urban art project founded by Ranjit Dahiya in 2012, with a mission to beautify Mumbai's skyline by encapsulating the rich cinematic history of Bollywood. BAP brings the magic of Bollywood to the streets through larger-than-life murals of legendary stars like Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Asha Parekh, and Waheeda Rehman. This unique project combines the power of art in public spaces with the deep emotional connection that Bollywood holds for people from all walks of life.
It aims to create a visual memorial to Bollywood, making it accessible to a wide range of audiences, from millionaires to beggars, as it transforms the streets into a living tribute to the city's iconic film industry. Starting from Bandra's Chapel Road, BAP has expanded its footprint to paint murals on prominent buildings in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai, as well as in France and the US. With over 70 Bollywood murals painted across three countries, BAP continues to celebrate the nostalgia and history of Indian cinema through its breathtaking artwork.
