Bolton Masonic Hall

Bolton Masonic Hall is a historic, centrally located events venue offering distinctive spaces for celebrations, business functions and community gatherings. Purpose-built in 1887 as a home for Bolton’s Freemasons, the Victorian building was extended in 1928 and comprehensively refurbished in 2020. Its characterful wood-panelled rooms and leaded windows sit alongside modern conveniences, including free Wi-Fi, a lift, disabled facilities and licensed bars.

The venue hosts weddings, civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts, birthday and Christmas parties, wakes, banquets, meetings, training sessions and corporate events. Several rooms across multiple floors accommodate different occasions, with seated dining in the Jubilee and Silverwell rooms and a permanent dancefloor in the Farnworth bar. Bolton Masonic Hall is approved for civil ceremonies, allowing couples to hold their ceremony and reception in one place.

On-site catering is provided by partners Burnt Fig, with freshly prepared, event-specific menus that include options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets. Located near Bolton station and the town’s transport links, the hall also offers nearby parking options and an events team to support bookings.
