BomenAchterhoek

Bomenstichting Achterhoek is a tree-focused foundation advocating for better tree management and nature conservation in the Achterhoek region of the Netherlands. The organization raises awareness about concerns that tree management is becoming increasingly driven by economic interests rather than care for nature, and it invites residents to support its work. Its activities include sharing information about trees, woodland management, tree planting, and related environmental issues, alongside promoting public engagement through petitions, social media, and a tree-felling reporting service.

The foundation also highlights practical and policy challenges, including risks to old trees, requirements affecting farmers who want to plant trees, and the importance of responsible maintenance. It publishes educational articles on tree species and ecology, such as the lime tree and the formation of oak galls, as well as updates and commentary on forestry policy. Bomenstichting Achterhoek says it is supported by legal professionals with experience in administrative, environmental, and planning law, helping strengthen its advocacy
