BonitaFRC is a non-profit organization committed to assisting underserved families and youth in reaching their full potential by facilitating access to healthcare, health education, information, and available resources. As a trusted resource center, BonitaFRC helps families and individuals apply for state-provided insurance, including Covered California. Some important changes to note regarding insurance provision are as follows: Covered California's open enrollment period will begin on October 15th, with re-enrollment starting on October 8th.

Starting January 1st, 2020, the implementation of state subsidies, in addition to federal subsidies, will benefit eligible families for a period of three years. While premiums for Covered California will see a 0. 8% increase next year, this is significantly lower than the 9% increase from the previous year.

Families who previously did not qualify for insurance may now be eligible. Current households may experience monthly savings, either by maintaining their premiums or by switching to a plan with lower premium payments. Additionally, starting January 1st, 2020, there will be the implementation of a state penalty.

BonitaFRC also collaborates with Sweetwater High School and National City's Public Library, setting up informative tables to educate students and the public about their services.
