Friends of Bonobos is a dedicated nonprofit organization on a mission to save and protect bonobos and their rainforest habitats. Founded by Claudine André, the organization supports the vital work of its Congolese counterpart, Friends of Bonobos in Congo, including the Lola ya Bonobo sanctuary and the Ekolo ya Bonobo Community Reserve. Through rescue and sanctuary efforts, Friends of Bonobos provides essential care for orphaned bonobos affected by illegal wildlife trade and works to rewild them back to their natural habitats.

In addition to wildlife protection, Friends of Bonobos actively engages with local Congolese communities to address the root causes of deforestation and promote sustainable practices. Through educational initiatives and global awareness campaigns, they strive to elevate the plight of bonobos and stimulate conservation efforts. With high ratings for fiscal accountability, Friends of Bonobos seeks support for its mission through donations and fundraising initiatives, ensuring a brighter future for bonobos and their rainforest ecosystems.
