Book Trigger Warnings is a community-run wiki designed to help readers make more informed choices about what they read. Its database provides book-specific trigger and content warnings, along with information about tropes, representation, age brackets, and genres. Readers can search by book title or author, browse alphabetical lists, or look for books that include a particular subject, such as car accidents. The site also offers pages for book series, authors, and author-provided warnings, as well as sample pages, video tutorials, and guidance for creating and editing entries.

Book Trigger Warnings invites members of the book community to contribute warnings and other useful details. Users must create an account before adding or editing pages, and entries are encouraged to remain as spoiler-free as possible. The site emphasizes that its warnings are community-submitted and may be incomplete or inaccurate; it does not provide professional medical or psychological advice, and a book’s listing cannot guarantee that it will be safe for every reader.
