SBS Bootsbau und Fischereitechnik Plau is a boatbuilding and fisheries technology business founded in January 1992. Based in Plau am See, it is led by managing director and master boatbuilder Holger Schondorf. The company designs and manufactures fiberglass-reinforced plastic boats for commercial fishing and leisure use, including fishing boats from five to eleven metres, trap and seine boats, motorboats, pond boats, rowing and angling boats, sailboats, and day cruisers.
Its range also includes equipment for fish farming and handling, such as long-flow and round tanks, hatchery and holding basins, fish transport containers, chutes, and carrying tubs. SBS develops custom products in response to customers’ needs and offers boat fittings, ropes, paints, safety equipment, and boat motors through its shop. Services include boat repairs, overhauls, and maintenance, as well as heated indoor winter storage.
The company describes its fiberglass boats as easy to care for, durable, and straightforward to repair. Its workshop and sales team in Plau is available on weekdays by appointment
