BOP Drift Park is a motorsport facility under development at TECT Park in the Bay of Plenty, serving the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua communities. Described as the region’s only purpose-built concrete and asphalt motorsport facility, it has a primary focus on drifting and aims to become New Zealand’s only dedicated multi-course drifting venue. The park is being designed to host national and international events while supporting broader motorsport use. Construction is underway, with Stage One in progress.
Located within a wider recreation destination, BOP Drift Park sits alongside facilities for four-wheel driving, rally, motocross, off-road enduro motocross and burnouts, as well as camping with power and water. The project aims to raise the region’s motorsport profile, support tourism and create long-term economic value while respecting the natural environment and complementing TECT Park’s multi-use role.
BOP Drift Park is also seeking community input to shape a future membership offering. Potential areas of interest include competitions, matsuris, track days, burnouts and training days; membership details are to be shared once the offer is clearly defined.
