Having experimented with various materials during his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, Bordalo II discovered his passion for sculpture and ceramics. Today, his art revolves around confronting the materialistic and greedy society we live in. He addresses the excessive production and consumption of goods that lead to the destruction of our planet. His pieces, crafted from discarded items, serve as a universal manifesto, showcasing his dedication to raising awareness.
Bordalo II's work spans both small and large-scale pieces, and they can be found all over the world. By incorporating reused materials, he has already saved an impressive 115 tons since 2012.
