V. is a nonprofit organisation focused on protecting human rights and documenting the experiences of refugees and migrants, particularly in Europe and around the Mediterranean. Its work examines the effects of European border and migration policies, including surveillance, returns, border violence and agreements with countries outside the EU. The organisation conducts monitoring, research and documentation, and shares its findings through current projects, background information, publications, news coverage and multimedia.

Its projects address issues such as the situation of refugees in Italy and across the central Mediterranean, European border externalisation in Morocco, and digital border surveillance involving artificial intelligence, biometrics and drones. In partnership with ACJPS, it also documents cases of enforced disappearance affecting activists and migrants in Sudan.
