The Bordewijk Genootschap is a foundation dedicated to commemorating Dutch writer Ferdinand Bordewijk and keeping interest in his work alive. Established in his memory, the society highlights the continuing importance of his writing in Dutch literature and education, while also exploring the life and work of his wife, composer Johanna Bordewijk-Roepman. Its website brings together biographies, bibliographies, articles, interviews, recordings, podcasts and other resources about the couple and their cultural legacy.
The Genootschap also shares news, newsletters and information about lectures, concerts, literary gatherings, festivals and commemorative projects, including initiatives to create and display a bust of Bordewijk. Through its online shop, visitors can find books and other Bordewijk-related publications, including works by the author, critical studies, facsimile editions, audiobooks, music releases and Genootschap publications. The shop also offers selected clothing and accessories.
With its educational resources, events and publications, the Bordewijk Genootschap serves readers, researchers and anyone interested in the writer’s contribution to Dutch culture
