About Bore Place
Bore Place is a charitable organisation and historic 500-acre estate in Chiddingstone, Kent, near Sevenoaks and about an hour from London. Home to the Commonwork Trust and Commonwork Organic Farms Ltd, it brings people and nature together through regenerative land management, education and opportunities to connect with the outdoors. The estate is organically managed, with a focus on soil health, wildlife and biodiversity.
Visitors can explore marked walking trails, cycle with bike hire, attend events and discover the farm and its produce. Bore Place also offers accommodation for small groups and parties of up to 65, alongside yoga and retreat stays, weddings, community events and corporate venue hire. Its programmes include educational activities for children and young people, family experiences, volunteering, citizen science and support for people with additional needs.
Sustainability is central to the estate’s work: water is recycled, more than half of its energy is generated on site, and land management is designed to encourage wildlife.
