Toulon Var Karaté (TVK) is a karate club founded in 2007 and based at the Palais des Sports Jauréguiberry in Toulon, France. Affiliated with the French Karate Federation, the club welcomes more than 240 members, from children aged four to seniors over 60, with classes for different ages and experience levels. Training includes preschool karate, children’s and adult karate, Body Karate, and Karate Santé, which supports health and fitness through adapted activity.
The club teaches Shotokan karate, emphasizing respect, discipline, self-control, perseverance, and personal development. Led by state-qualified instructor Boris Greget, a sixth-dan practitioner, TVK is supported by assistants and federal instructors. Its program serves both recreational practitioners and competitors, with training in kata and combat and participation in departmental, regional, and national events.
The club has developed more than 60 black belts. Sessions take place at the Palais des Sports and at Colline Saint-Pierre, with facilities including a dojo and a dance room used for some activities. A partnership with Karaté Club du Las supports joint preparation for competitors
