Borkum Pferdepension is a family-run horse boarding business in Ostland on the island of Borkum, led by Uwe Ruyling, Dagmar Ruyling and their daughter Lea. The family has been closely connected to the island for more than 30 years and welcomes riders seeking a relaxed holiday with their own horses. Set on a historic property with more than 16 hectares of grassland, the pension combines spacious pastures with renovated facilities designed for horse-friendly care.
Accommodation includes generous outdoor boxes and large open stables in a converted wagon shed, with the open-stable option described as suitable for horses with respiratory problems. Guests can enjoy Borkum’s dunes, wide landscapes and seaside setting, with opportunities for memorable rides along the beach and fresh sea air. The business presents its stay as a place where horse and rider can feel at home, supported by ample space and a calm atmosphere.
Borkum Pferdepension offers a distinctive base for exploring the island on horseback
