BørnsVelvære is the child and family support practice of Tina Thestrup, a registered nurse and child adviser in Denmark. Guided by the belief that children’s needs and perspectives should come first, Tina emphasizes safe, loving and consistent boundaries that help children and young people develop. She also recognizes parents as the most important experts in their children’s lives, while acknowledging that families can sometimes feel uncertain, overwhelmed or powerless.

Through her work with a range of challenges, Tina has developed practical tools intended to support families across different ages and situations. These approaches draw on courses, teaching, professional literature and, especially, hands-on experience. She notes that putting them into practice requires consistency and a fair trial, but believes small changes can lead to significant results and help families rediscover their strengths.

BørnsVelvære also offers an inspiring talk for parents, foster parents and professionals who work with children and young people.
