The "Bousai Kokutai 2024" event is set to take place on October 19-20 in Kumamoto, Japan, marking its ninth iteration. This national disaster prevention conference aims to foster resilience and promote awareness following Japan's experiences with major natural disasters, including the Kumamoto earthquake and the 2020 torrential rains. The theme for this year is "Hope for Reconstruction, From Kumamoto to the Nation - Let's Share Kumamoto! Let's Stand Strong Together!"

The event will gather diverse stakeholders, from local communities to volunteers and businesses, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in disaster preparedness and recovery. Attendees can expect a variety of activities, including informative sessions, hands-on workshops, and engaging presentations, all designed to enhance public understanding of disaster management.

In a country frequently affected by earthquakes, tsunamis, and severe weather, Bousai Kokutai serves as a critical platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and strategies to build a safer future, ultimately strengthening the collective resilience of Japanese society.
