Bosco Reach Out

Bosco Reach Out (BRO) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization established in 1983 and registered in Meghalaya. With its operational head office in Guwahati, Assam, it works to empower marginalized and vulnerable communities, particularly in Northeast India. Its mission is to support integral development by helping people build community organizations, strengthen their capacities and make effective use of local resources. BRO envisions self-reliant, dignified communities contributing to a just, equal and harmonious society.

The organization’s programmes span agriculture and allied livelihoods, community development, vocational and other skills training, education, health, and environmental conservation. Its work includes supporting farmers and sustainable agriculture, providing youth with employment-oriented training, expanding children’s access to education, and promoting preventive healthcare. Health initiatives include eye care and free cataract surgeries, while environmental activities include tree planting, conservation and climate awareness. BRO also undertakes community resilience initiatives, partnerships and emergency flood relief. Through these services and opportunities to participate as donors, volunteers, resource people or advisers, Bosco Reach Out supports communities in improving livelihoods, wellbeing and access to development.
