Bosstriper Fishing Guide Service offers guided fishing trips on Lake Buchanan in Buchanan Dam, Texas. Founded in 1995 by Dutch immigrant Bas Vaandrager, the business grew from his lifelong enthusiasm for fishing and his wish to help others experience the excitement of catching fish. Bas guides alongside his son, Graham Vaandrager, who began as a deckhand and now serves as a guide.
The service focuses on Lake Buchanan’s striper, hybrid, white bass, and catfish fisheries. Trips use several techniques, including live shad with Carolina rigs, vertical jigging with spoons, and down-rigging with trolling lures to cover water and locate schools of fish. The guide service has two boats, both fitted with T-tops for shade and comfort on warm days.
Bosstriper provides information about rates and trip preparation, along with a gallery, blog, and customer reviews. Anglers can contact the business by phone or email to arrange an outing and learn more about fishing on Lake Buchanan.
