About Boston Bulldogs Running Club
Boston Bulldogs Running Club is a co-ed 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2015 to offer a safe, supportive community for people affected by addiction. Its members include people in recovery, family and friends, caregivers, healthcare and wellness professionals, and others in the community. Guided by the belief that connection can support healing, the club combines running, wellness activities, and peer support.
The club organizes weekly runs six times a week across five locations, including Boston, Quincy, Plymouth, and Worcester. Its Full Circle I and II programs help members work toward personal wellness goals through six-week sessions, while graduates can pursue paid leadership opportunities. The club also supports members with needs such as running shoes, apparel, race registration fees, and club membership.
Community initiatives include Junior Bulldogs, which introduces at-risk youth to exercise and wellness, and outreach to hospitals and recovery centers. The annual Run for Recovery 5K and Tribute honors those lost to addiction. Boston Bulldogs also fields teams for races, including the Boston Marathon, and welcomes members, sponsors, and donors.
