Botanical Sense ApS is a small Danish company focused on creating simple, practical products for plant lovers. Its aim is to make everyday plant care easier through effective solutions designed with a minimalist approach to technology, material use, energy consumption, and installation. The company’s first product, Leaf it, is a smart sensor system for potted plants.
A discreet sensor placed in a pot monitors light, moisture, and temperature, helping users understand how their plants are doing and when they may need attention. The system connects to the internet and works with a mobile app, which provides access to plant data and real-time notifications from anywhere with an internet connection. Botanical Sense initially offers Leaf it as a starter set containing two plant sensors and a system gateway; additional sensors can be purchased separately through its website.
The company describes its current focus as windowsills, greenhouses, and gardens, with plans to expand its range in collaboration with people who find value in its products
