Botanicon

Botanicon Kert Klub is a Budapest-based nature education and gardening organization operating through Botanicon Kft. Its mission is to promote environmental education and the benefits of gardening and outdoor exploration. It offers training, educational activities, and publications for adults, educators, children, and community groups.

Its year-long, hybrid gardening pedagogy course provides practical guidance on gardening with children, organizing school and kindergarten activities, running gardening clubs, and establishing educational gardens. A beginner medicinal-plant course combines online learning with optional guided outings and introduces participants to 48 plants over 12 months. The organization also runs nature camps for children aged 5–12, school trips and guided forest walks in the Buda Hills, medicinal-herb talks, workshops, garden consultations, and coaching.

Botanicon publishes books on garden education, medicinal plants, and nature trails, and produces the free Nature Pedagogy magazine, which covers environmental education and conservation. Its programs emphasize hands-on learning in gardens and forests, encouraging participants to observe plants, animals, and seasonal changes. Botanicon reports 12 years of camp experience and 56 camps held.
