Bothasig Baseball Club

Bothasig Baseball Club is a community baseball club based at Abe Sher Stadium on De Boerin Street in Bothasig, Cape Town. Established in 1974, it is fully self-funded and affiliated with the Cape Town Baseball Federation, Western Cape Baseball Federation, South African Baseball, and the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The club has more than 220 members across nine teams and describes itself as home to South Africa’s most capped provincial and national baseball players.

Bothasig welcomes players at every stage, from Pee Wee beginners aged four to seven through junior and youth divisions, senior league sides, and Masters baseball for veteran players. Its teams include U10, U12, U15, U18, a development side, a second side, and Major League. The club offers registration, team and roster information, fixtures and results, and updates on its news and social channels. Members can also access the club shop and venue-hire services. Membership fees, sponsorships, and donations support coaching, equipment, and the club’s facilities, helping keep baseball accessible in Bothasig and Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs.
