Boodbooa is a Montreal-based artisanal woodworking company founded by Sylvie Laframboise, a graduate of the École d’Ébénisterie d’Art de Montréal. Established in 2014, Boodbooa specializes in creating handcrafted wooden objects and furniture that combine contemporary design with ecological sustainability. Each piece is meticulously made by hand, emphasizing the natural elegance and uniqueness of wood sourced from Quebec, such as black walnut, cherry, maple, ash, oak, and birch.
The brand focuses on eco-design and slow-design principles, offering timeless, noble, and durable products that defy fleeting trends. Boodbooa employs various artisan techniques, including shaping, carving, turning, bending, and marquetry, to produce furniture and decor that blend organic and geometric forms. With natural, non-toxic finishes, Boodbooa's creations not only beautify living spaces but also foster a deep appreciation for the art of craftsmanship. Each item serves as an inspiration, carrying its own personality, ensuring that you will cherish these unique pieces for generations to come.
