Bounce Project

The BOUNCE project is a pioneering initiative focused on enhancing the resilience of women facing the challenges of breast cancer. Launched with the support of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program, BOUNCE aims to improve recovery outcomes through innovative research and personalized interventions by integrating findings from medical, social, and computational sciences.

The project brings together a consortium of experts to develop predictive models that assess individual resilience trajectories, taking into account clinical, biological, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors. Currently in its fourth year, BOUNCE is conducting a multi-center clinical pilot involving approximately 550 women diagnosed with breast cancer. This comprehensive study tracks their medical and psychosocial progress every three months during their recovery journey.

By focusing on the critical aspects of resilience, BOUNCE not only aids healthcare providers in offering tailored support but also strives to empower survivors to maintain a higher quality of life and stay actively engaged in their communities, even after treatment.
