Bounien

Kennel Bounien is a small, quality-focused dog breeder based in Hikiä and Loppi, in Finland’s Kanta-Häme region. Run by mother and daughter Erja Nieminen and Eveliina Sinervo, the kennel has bred Bolognese dogs since 2010 and Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonkas since 2015, under the Bounien name. Its work is guided by health, breed type, long-term commitment and cooperation, with quality valued over quantity.

Bounien prioritizes active health testing and screening for breed-related conditions, alongside preserving the distinctive characteristics of each breed. The kennel produces a few litters in each breed each year and provides information for people interested in a Bounien puppy. Its dogs have become family companions, show winners, hypoglycaemia alert dogs, therapy dogs and activity partners. More than 100 dogs have earned Finnish show champion titles, and Bounien has achieved numerous World Winner and European Winner titles, as well as Vuolasvirta awards for breeding in both breeds. The kennel also welcomes puppy families and other supporters into Team Bounien, a community working for the breeds’ wellbeing.
