BoutiqueGear is an independent directory that helps musicians and collectors discover boutique guitar gear and the people who build and repair it. Its listings cover small-batch pedals, boutique amps, custom and handcrafted guitars, and services such as luthiery, repairs, and modifications. Players can browse by category or location, compare verified listings, review available specifications and pricing, and connect directly with makers or local service providers.

BoutiqueGear reviews submissions for authenticity, an active official website or storefront, working contact information, and recent activity. Listings are updated weekly, giving visitors a place to explore established builders, emerging makers, new releases, and editor-curated picks. The site is not a store: purchases are made directly with makers or retailers, and any affiliate links are disclosed. BoutiqueGear operates independently, with paid features clearly labeled and payment not guaranteeing inclusion in ordinary listings. Builders, repair shops, and custom guitar makers can apply to be listed through the site.
