Box Studio

Box Studio is an Auckland architecture and design-build studio, bringing architects, designers and builders together with its sister company, Box Build. Since 2009, the team has created residential projects across Auckland and beyond, from compact city townhouses and renovations to coastal homes and larger country residences. The studio is known for mid-century-inspired design and aims to balance architectural creativity with practical construction and clear cost planning.

Clients can choose architectural design services for new homes, renovations and additions, or a fully integrated design-to-build journey managed from initial concepts through construction and handover. Box Studio also offers interior design, including guidance on layouts, lighting, electrical and smart-home requirements, materials and finishes. Its in-house cost-estimation team helps shape budgets and assess value during planning.

For clients seeking a more affordable option, Artis is the studio’s modular design-and-build service for smaller homes, designed to retain thoughtful design within a tighter budget. Box Studio also offers SPRINT workshops and consultations to help prospective clients understand the process and likely costs before committing to a project.
