The Boys League, officially known as the Japan Youth Baseball Federation, Eastern Japan Block, is a prestigious organization dedicated to the development and promotion of youth baseball in Japan. Established in 1970, the league has expanded from a small group to a significant network encompassing 39 branches across the country, with 141 teams in the elementary division and 607 in the junior high division, totaling 748 teams. The league's mission is to cultivate a passion for baseball among young players while guiding them in the fundamentals of the sport for healthy development.
Each year, the Eastern Japan Block hosts numerous tournaments including the Spring National Championship and various regional events. The league also focuses on international goodwill, participating in tournaments such as the Cal Ripken 12-and-Under World Series. To join, teams must register through their local branches, fostering community spirit and collaboration. With strong support from the Cabinet Office as a certified public interest corporation, the Boys League continues to strive for excellence in youth baseball education and development.
