The Bendigo Regional Archives Centre (BRAC) stands as a vital cultural and historical resource within central and northern Victoria. Established through a partnership between the City of Greater Bendigo, the Public Record Office of Victoria, and the Goldfields Library Corporation, BRAC operates as a Class A Place of Deposit (POD) under the Victorian Public Records Act 1973. Its mission centers on collecting, protecting, and sharing the region's rich history, retaining public and community records in their original context.

BRAC provides a welcoming hub for researchers, offering a reading room and a repository of valuable documents, including half a kilometer of frequently accessed records housed at Bendigo Library. Additionally, a purpose-built offsite facility stores the majority of the archival collection, overseen by experienced staff. The Centre emphasizes community engagement and access to cultural heritage, encouraging individuals and communities to connect with their history. BRAC is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the region for future generations while respecting the traditional custodians of the land, the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples.
