Fábrica Braço de Prata is a cultural and community space in Lisbon, set in a former factory building once used for the administration of a war-materials plant. Its identity is deliberately flexible: twelve adaptable rooms host a changing mix of activities, including concerts, art exhibitions, film projects, creative studios and workshops. Visitors can also find bookstores, a bar and dining rooms, as well as a shop selling second-hand clothes and other items.
The venue’s programme brings together live music, talks, recurring events and exhibitions, while its activities include a music school, classes and initiatives for children and the educational community. Fábrica Braço de Prata also publishes the magazine Desarmada and presents projects such as illustration fairs and summer schools. Rather than functioning as a single-purpose institution, it provides a shared setting for arts, learning, food and social life, with rooms that can be used in different ways.
Its varied programme makes the former industrial building a gathering place for creative and cultural activity in Lisbon
