BRADAAG

BRADAAG is a non-profit community-based agency dedicated to enhancing the social and emotional well-being of individuals in the Barkly region. Incorporated under the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) and governed by a local Board of Directors, BRADAAG emphasizes culturally appropriate education and support regarding alcohol and other drugs (AOD). Their extensive range of services includes immediate crisis support, a Sobering Up Shelter, community and school-based AOD education programs, as well as an eight-week AOD Residential Program followed by a 13-week Ongoing Care Program.

With a vision that centers on empowering individuals and families, BRADAAG promotes long-term social and cultural change, ensuring accessibility and equity in care. Their client-centered approach integrates evidence-based practices to help clients develop coping skills to manage AOD triggers, enabling them to lead healthier, more productive lives. BRADAAG remains committed to respecting local culture and addressing systemic challenges within the healthcare landscape, striving for a community free from the impacts of AOD, violence, and homelessness.
