Bragg Creek Education Services

Bragg Creek Education Services Association (BCESA) supports children with learning and developmental needs and the families and educators around them. Working with preschools, private kindergartens and daycares, the association administers Alberta Education funding for eligible children, including Program Unit Funding and Mild/Moderate programs. Its services reach Calgary, Springbank, Cochrane, Bragg Creek and Banff/Canmore.

BCESA coordinates screening and assessment, develops individualized program plans, manages required documentation and funding, and helps children transition into supportive school settings. In partnership with schools and childcare providers, its team can arrange speech and language, occupational, physical and behavioural therapy, along with educational support, classroom strategies and educational assistants when needed. Support may be provided at school, at home or online, according to educational needs.

BCESA describes early intervention as a collaborative process involving families, teachers, caregivers and other support networks. Its school-year services generally run from September to June and include parent meetings, progress updates and individualized goals.
