The Brain Injury Group Inc. is a registered not-for-profit charity in Queensland, Australia, supporting people with acquired brain injury (ABI) to rebuild confidence, independence and connection with their communities. Its mission is to help participants reintegrate into society through rehabilitation, social reconnection, volunteering and pathways into work, within a supportive network linking allied health, support services and community involvement.
The organisationโs Skill-building Workshops provide a welcoming setting for people with ABI to practise practical skills and connect with peers and mentors. Topics include digital literacy, communication and social skills, time management, budgeting, meal planning, job readiness, simulated work tasks, resume building, volunteering, fitness and creative entrepreneurship. Workshops also support emotional resilience, employability and greater independence in daily life.
The programs are relevant to people with ABI, as well as carers, family members and professionals seeking information about rehabilitation and community support. The Brain Injury Group describes its values as connection, purpose, resilience, community, inclusion and celebrating progress.
