About Brasserie Lefebvre
Brasserie Lefebvre | Quenast is a renowned Belgian brewery with a rich history and strong values. Established in 1876 by Jules Joseph Lefebvre, the brewery started with a farm-brewery-malting combination to supply pubs near the local quarries. Over time, the sales network expanded to neighboring villages.
In those days, the popularity of beer was immense, with per capita consumption in Belgium reaching around 240 liters per year. Throughout its six generations, the brewery has continuously evolved and adapted to changing times. From producing low-alcohol beers during war periods to introducing innovative brews like Porph-Ale and Super-Houblo, Brasserie Lefebvre has a diverse range of offerings.
They also hold a license from the Abbey of Floreffe to brew their special beers. Notable creations include Barbãr, Newton, Hopus, and Blanche de Bruxelles. Today, Brasserie Lefebvre focuses on the export market, which constitutes 80% of its production.
